Riot Police Challenge UPitt Students at The 2009 G20 Summit
On September 24th 2009 hundreds of riot police were brought in to secure the University of Pittsburgh for the G20. As the evening progressed, riot police advanced towards protesting students using tear gas, rubber bullets, high-pitched sirens, rockets, and directional loudspeakers in an effort to disperse large groups of student demonstrators. Students were unable to re-enter police secured zones, and many were arrested.
